Reviews - What do customers think about Well Tempered Praise II?
Great mix of arrangements Dec 11, 2007
"Well-tempered Praise" was my introduction to the piano arrangements of Mark Hayes, several years ago. Since that time, his arrangements have become a staple in my repertoire as a church pianist. Mr. Hayes is a multi-talented individual whose piano arrangements are only one facet of his incredible music background.
The arrangements in this book cover a variety of songs, most of which should be "acceptable" in any type of service, ranging from traditional to contemporary. I would consider the difficulty to be "medium" -- meaning that most of them should be playable right off-the-bat by a reasonably accomplished pianist, but will still need a fair amount of practice to achieve the "spit and polish" of performance-level playing.
I have over 200 piano books of sacred arrangements, and this is one of my all-time favorites.
