Item description for Connecting Inward: Helping Your Group Members Develop a Deep Love for One Another (Community Life) by Mark Collins...
Connecting Inward d is a unique small group curriculum resource containing interactive questions for six sessions. It contains scripture memory verses for the group members, Bible application (as opposed to Bible Study), and a weekly devotional for the small group leader. This resource is unique in that it doesn't just teach a group of believers about the importance of biblical community, it challenges them to enter into a deeper relationship with one another with the questions and gives them opportunities to serve one another between meetings. Small groups are about relationships, not another meeting, right? This resource will draw a small group closer to one another, fulfilling the second part of the Great Commandment. Reviews - What do customers think about Connecting Inward: Helping Your Group Members Develop a Deep Love for One Another (Community Life)?
Not your typical Bible study material, that's for sure May 2, 2007
I was the editor for this book (and the others in the series). I found it to be unlike any other small group or cell group curriculum I have used in the past. Like a Serendipity Bible, it moves the small group into transparent sharing. Unlike the Serendipity Bible, it has ministry questions at the end of each lesson that require confession, member-to-member ministry and very deep transparency. This particular title in the series moves members beyond the typical "home group meeting" mentality and challenges them to spend time with one another between meetings, serving, playing, laughing, and ministering to one another. The other really great thing about this book is that only the leader needs to have a copy, saving churches a lot of money. Anything that needs to be given to all the members is in the appendix and the book states that the user can freely copy the pages for use within their group.
