Item description for You Can Let Go Now: It's Okay to Be Who You Are by Mark Chironna...
Overview When the second twin emerged from Rebekah's womb, he was holding onto the heel of his brother Esau. Isaac and Rebekah aptly named him Jacob, meaning "heel-grabber." For many years this name would be his destiny, until he was able to let go of a hollow existence and instead grasp his true destiny as a prince among men. Just like Jacob, we struggle with the quest for significance, often settling for a life never intended for us. But through the teaching of Mark Chironna, we can learn by Jacob's example to let go of the things that hinder us to become our true selves in Christ. Specific chapter topics include instruction on how to let go of the need to be first, getting ahead of yourself, selling yourself short, the pain of rejection, your unfinished business, and more.
Are you tired of the never-ending struggles
Tired of grasping, clawing, plotting and striving to achieve your dreams
Have you found your heart aching for something deeper and more enduring? Many believe that security, accomplishments, and possessions will give them identity. Yet the more you struggle for your identity, the more it eludes you. It isn't until you are free to let go of the grasping and the grabbing that you find out who you are.
In this book, Mark Chironna shows letting go in action by putting you inside the skin of Jacob. Litterally a "grabber" from birth, Jacob emerged from the womb clutching the heel of his twin brother. For years this second son lived in his brother Esau's shadow, struggling to prove his way through life until an encounter with God showed him how to let go and find his destiny as a prince among men.
"Let go of the lie that you can never lay hold of what your heart dreams of," says Chironna. "Reject the lie that everyone is out to deny you of your true-to-God existence. Let go of the belief that the struggle is with someone else; it is with yourself. Cheer up; you can, and you will let go, and your deepest longings will be deeply satisfied "

You Can Let Go Now: It's Okay to Be Who You Are Apr 11, 2007
This book by Mark Chironna is very interesting and enlightening. The style is a little choppy, as if it was dictated rather than written. The content is excellent, however, and I would recommend it for every committed Christian.
Are You Living Who You Are? Dec 19, 2004
Do you find yourself scurrying through life on auto-pilot not knowing on a conscious level why you are filling your life so full of activities that only seem to create exhaustion and anxiety? Are you afraid to stop a life of striving to be, do and have because that may be all you have known? The book, "You Can Let Go Now", gives you insight and permission to get quiet and in touch with who you are at the core of your being. It challenges you to discover your uniqueness and motivation behind your behavior. It may be difficult to realize that you've been motivated to live your life by outside circumstances, as opposed to living by who you are at the core of your being, but it is never too late to quiet inner conflicts which are a result of living someone else's life. When you discover that you can let go now and realize that it is okay to be who you are, you find exhaustion is replaced with satisfaction, and anxiety is replaced with assurance, because you are moving in the intention of who you were created to be. Since reading this book, I've realized that I don't have to strive, but I can relax and flow in who I am, which has caused me to enjoy life so much more.
This is what we have been waiting for. Dec 16, 2004
I wholeheartedly recommend this book. After reading the first chapter of "You Can Let Go Now," you will understand that this work explores depths others have merely alluded to. Dr. Chironna is a master in the use of imagery and metaphor. His writing draws you while his insight and knowledge equip you. Before you know it, you will have become an active participant and will be well on your way to a life you may have only dreamed of. Few are as skilled in the extraction of relevant truth from Biblical narratives as Dr. Chironna. I am purchasing a copy for each of my employees. Do yourself a favor and read the author's earlier works as well. Your life may not depend on it, but the quality of you life definitely does.
Thanks Dr. Chironna Dec 15, 2004
I read Stepping Into Greatness and discovered that my blind spots were hurting me because they kept me from seeing what was sneaking up on me. Then when I read Beyond The Shadow of Doubt I learned that I had hidden doubts inside that were helping me to sabotage my own success, and I faced them and experienced a measure of release. I just finished You Can Let Go Now, and it's like Dr. Chironna completed the journey for me and I have been able to look at the roots of my behaviors, and it gave me permission to admit what I really needed and the things I felt deep inside that I was afraid to admit to myself let alone anyone else. God used this book to free me to simply be the person I was always meant to be. I am now learning how to be the true-to-God me that Dr. Chironna says I can be...THANKS DR. CHIRONNA for coaching me into real freedom!
