Overview In his new book, the author of the best-selling In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day takes lion chasers to the next level in their adventure. Publishers Description Most of us have no idea where we're going most of the time. Perfect. // Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit-An Geadh-Glas, or 'the Wild Goose.' The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the Spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him. And while the name may sound a little sacrilegious, I cannot think of a better description of what it's like to follow the Spirit through life. I think the Celtic Christians were on to something...

Reviews - What do customers think about Wild Goose Chase: Rediscover the Adventure of Pursuing God?
Mark does it again! Apr 5, 2010
It's hard to imagine what's going to happen next. This book has increased my awareness of the Holy Spirit working and makes me anticipate God's next move. I'm ready for the adventure ahead. I know I can trust as long as the 'Wild Goose" leads. When things look bleak I know God's working out something incredible just like I know the sun is shining behind the clouds.
The adventure of your life - get ready! Apr 1, 2010
Batterson is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. From his initial offering In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day to his latest Wild Goose Chase, I'd say that reading Batterson is akin to watching one of the great classic college footballs games on ESPN - it's not a new premise or concept, it's just delivered so well you find yourself immersed in the book almost sitting on the edge of your seat reading page after page. I love the message of this book - let go of the world, grab on to God and hang on for the ride of your life! It reminds me of Daniel chapter 1 when Daniel resolved not to defile himself...meaning that he left go of the things of this world and chose to follow God no matter what the cost - and the very next verse begins with "Now God...". You want a "now God" moment in your life - resolve to follow God no matter what the cost and see where the Lord takes you. Batterson isn't saying that the Christian walk is all daisies, though; it's a tough journey not for the faint at heart. But the alternative, according to Batterson, is a dull, boring, wasted life. Obviously I agree with Batterson.
This is a great book for any Christian to read - but I think the message will resonate especially with young men - I just wish more of them read books!
My Perspective on Wild Goose Dec 8, 2009
I've been in minstry for years. This is a refreshing challenge to reach out, to stretch, to let go of the "chains that bind" and follow Christ. I encouarge anyone in ministry or committed to serious discipleship to read it.
Want more out of life? The Wild Goose Chase is for you! Oct 6, 2009
After reading his "Lion" book, I wondered if Mark could keep the interest going for me with "Wild Goose Chase." I wasn't disappointed! He surpassed my expectations with another amazingly inspirational message that is ideal for believers at any age or stage of the journey. I have given copies of this book to my kids as well as to many of my friends who want more out of life and need a fresh perspective of God's ways and plans for anyone willing to get in on the chase. Mark is tops at communicating the joy, passion, and excitement of apprehending the surrendered Christian life. I can't wait for his next book!
Uses many, many unnecessary words. Oct 5, 2009
What I got after my Bible Study group went through this book is: 1) God releases us from our cages, 2) But we have to step out of them, 3) Because if we don't, we are still trapped in our cages.
That's his book in a nutshell, and it fits on one page.
