Overview God is beyond imagination, understanding, and control. But before we can grow in our faith, we need to come to grips with an incomprehensible and awesome God--or at least begin this eternal process. This book isn't a typical "thought-for-the-day" devotional; it's deeper and more reflective than any other book of its kind. Mark Tabb's forty story-driven meditations invite students to wrestle with all that God is--to set off in pursuit of a God who is more than a little dangerous. Honest, engaging, and biblical, these reflection allow readers to forge a faith that doesn't flinch amid the mysteries of the Father.

less than great Apr 14, 2009
i am a Seminary Student (MDiv) and full time student ministry director, grades 7-12. i ordered this book used through this site (thanks for the great price, oneagleswing) for inspiration and ideas to integrate into my ministry. i had ordered Ask Me Anything by Budziszewski and this was recommended. i am sorry, however, that i wasted my time and money on Greater Than. this "undevotional" sets out to be different from every other devotional out there. well, it's not, nor is it encouraging. many authors feel compelled to write in a way that is "relevant," or meets youth "where they're at." unfortunately, in reality, they end up writing in a way that is distracting, discomforting, and less than challenging.
i have no doubt that the Spirit of God can and will and does use this book and others to speak to students. at the same time i will continue to look for other devotional literature as a resource for me ministry. thanks.
