Reviews - What do customers think about Scared Silly: Taking on Your Fears, Worries, and What-ifs?
Best self-help I've read in awhile! Aug 29, 2009
Helpful, very good read for those of us who have a lot of fears, real or perceived. Great perspective put on the "what if's" of life. Living with "what if" may happen in the future. Don't worry about the unknown.....live with the known; it's enough on it's own!
Too Much Attempted Humor Interferes with Basic Message Jun 24, 2009
This book is being used by a church study group to which I belong. I find the writing to be choppy and confusing, because the author continually attempts to be humorous -- and in my opinion these attempts only serve to complicate the book. I am seriously considering leaving the church group and joining one where the selected text actually has some substance to it. I think the reader would be better served it the author would try and get the real message across, rather than try to be a humorist.
Love This Book! Aug 15, 2008
I don't like to read non-fiction, but the author weaves humor and information together in such a way that this book is enjoyable to read. Never dry, and certainly not boring, I would recommend this book to anyone!
A MUST read! Mar 25, 2008
It's like Marcy knows me personally! There is so much that I could identify with! I love the way she presents the material! I have struggled with much of what this book covers for many years and have discovered that I'm not alone and that there are healthy ways to deal how I feel. I also thought about many other people who could use this book. I'm buying more to share! Marcy has a great sense of humor and I encourage everyone to read this book; if not for yourself, to better understand someone you know. There's something for everybody!
A MUST READ! Nov 10, 2007
This is an amazing book for everyone who is holding back in their life due to fears of any shape or size! Marcy Bryan is witty and amazingly insightful. I recommend this book to anyone who thinks there is more to life than the way they are living (or not living) today! Odrer one for yourself and go ahead and order 5 more - you will want many to be set free from the incredible insights Mrs. Bryan presents!
