Item description for Did God Send You or Did the Members Call You? by Marc Landon Neal...
Overview You have heard and answered the voice of God as He has enlisted you into the priestly ranks of being a Minister and now a Pastor . . . One to lead, guide, and shepherd the people of God. You may have been an associate Pastor, an assistant Minister, and/or a director of Education and Youth; now after waiting, your opportunity to Pastor has finally arrived. You have passed your examinations; you've sat before ordination councils, and you have heard the grunts of the pulpit committee members. You now have the opportunity to preach every Sunday, teach Bible Study every week, and perform weddings and funerals, but what is next? What do you do now that you are there? What decisions will you make, what issues should you concern yourself with and what authority has been given to you? Generally speaking, what are the expectations from the congregation that called you or the congregation that God sent you to? What do know about those people? Now that you are there, what's next?

Reviews - What do customers think about Did God Send You or Did the Members Call You??
Wow!!!!! Jul 28, 2003
This book is really a must have for all persons in ministry or considering working in the ministry. This book will definetely help you understand the role of a Pastor as well as the role of other ministries of the church , which I would consider to be the backbone of the church. This book will help you realize the importance of the simple or what we would call the minor things in church ministry which, if overlooked could and would cause a major problem. This book will ultimately cause you to look at ministry and the role of a Pastor in a whole new light. The author also brings out some very thought provoking comments concerning men and women operating in the preaching and teaching ministry, the duties of a trustee, and the duties of a Pastoral Administrative Assistant. This book will without a doubt be one that will be a conversation piece for years and years to come. The chapter that interested me the most was Chapter 3. If you want to know what Chapter 3 is about than you have to go and buy the book. In the next few weeks I will be starting a chat room solely to discuss this book. I can't wait until the next book comes out.
