Reviews - What do customers think about Portals To Cleansing?

This is an excellent resource...why would we not want to make every effort to establish our authority over our property.

Good advice to those Christ followers who want to be informed of some ways the enemy works.
Really, Really Helpful Aug 4, 2005
There are two types of believers, those who know and understand there is a supernatural world that supersedes the physical, and those who don't. If you are in the latter group, please ignore this review, because you are not going to believe it anyway.
After reading this book (which took about 5 hours), I figure that about 7/8 of it is devoted to telling the reader why there is need of spiritual cleansing in your home, and 1/8 of the book tells you how to do it. This book build the biblical case for spiritual cleansing, using biblical examples of the supernatural, and the need of the Christian to take spiritual authority over what God has given him or her. The author also devotes some time giving examples of spiritual cleansings he has performed in homes and lands that have some major spiritual goings on.
Then he gives step by step instructions for the cleansing. In a very simplistic overview they are: Ask God what needs to be gotten rid of or prayed over. Get rid of it/pray over it. Invite God's peace and presence into your home. Have a communion service at the center of your property. That's very simplified, but it gives you an idea of what's involved. Nothing ooky spooky, or mystical, just prayer, annointing and communion.
The one negative of the book is that the author does not go into detail about some of the specifics of his way of the communion service. He suggests burying the remaining bread and "fruit of the vine" after the service. This of course harkens back to the Passover where the children of Israel were to bury everything they did not eat. And that is what the whole spiritual cleansing is about. It is a form of Passover, inviting the presence of God into the place, so that there is no longer room for anything else.
In my case there was really nothing over the top that was spiritually dark in my place. Even at that, once the process was complete, there was a peace and a lightness of spirit that changed the whole feel of my home. I no longer feel uneasy walking through the house in the dark. Honestly, it is a night and day difference.
If you are Born Again, this is a book you need. If you don't understand something in it, ask your pastor about it. God Bless
Just Way Too "OUT THERE" Jul 17, 2004
This book is just too hard to swallow. It is filled with unsubstantiated stories, as are most books on the subject of deliverance from a "Christian" point of view. The book provokes more questions than it answers. There is too little evidence of "portals" into the spiritual realm given for their existance to be believed. The author is probably a well meaning but over zealous believer who just goes too far, perhaps to keep us reading, make a name for himself, and capitalize on our sometimes perverse curiosity about the occult. He decribes a type of communion ceremony where he blesses then buries a loaf of bread in the ground beneath a house then pours a circle of anointing oil around it to dispel demonic manifestations. Where the heck is that in Scripture?
I, for one, am tired of the overdramatization in much that is written and sold concerning spiritiual warfare and deliverance. There is a HUGE fear factor involved here that many books, this one included, seem to exploit. He references the 9/11 tragedy but offers no real context for including it. He repeats much of what is in his book SHADOW BOXING, explains more about false gods/mythology than we really need to know and stretches Scripture to fit his theories and methods of doing deliverance.
I suggest reading the Gospels and seeking God for yourself, rather than spending time and money on this book.
