Review Dec 6, 2007
Book had good information. It's just that it's pretty much the same as a lot of books I've already read about this subject. I was looking for something more out of the box creative.
extremely helpful! Oct 21, 2007
This book is exactly what we needed. My son just turned 15 and my husband who's very controlling still treated him like a child giving him little or no space to develop on his own. It was getting scary between them. They would fight often and my son threatened to run away. I bought two copies so we could both read it before someone got hurt! It's helped to open our eyes and realize it's OK for kids to make some mistakes. This book is a must for anyone who thinks that controlling your kids every move is the way to go. It also discusses the opposite parenting styles and helps create a balance. If you have a teen you need this book.

Need help with your teen? Jan 11, 2007
Whether your teen is simply refusing to clean his room, or your worried about tougher issues such as sex and drugs, this book teaches parents effective and respectful ways to deal with the whole child. This is not a "How To" book with a lot of simple, short-term solutions. It is a basic parenting philosophy which, once understood, will permeate your decision making and way of being with your child.
