Reviews - What do customers think about Prayers from the Darkness: The Difficult Psalms?
More from Lyn Apr 17, 2006
Lyn has done it again with a book about the Psalms. She encourages people to get into the difficult Psalms that tend to be ignored because of their jarring and even antagonistic language. The book gives permission to pray the hard Psalms and gives some guidance in how to do it. This book is an excellent resource for those who are in positions of counseling injured (physically, mentally, and emotionally)people.
Hope for Hard Times Jan 9, 2006
Someone loaned me a copy of Prayers from the Darkness, and I have gotten so much out of it, I'm buying my own + some for friends. Fraser manages to give new life and hope through her reading of the difficult Psalms. The book has a very personal feeling because of the stories about people who shared their hard times with Fraser and how a difficult Psalm helped them. They are true saints of God. This book offers hope for our hard times, whether they're physical, emotional, or spiritual.
