Reviews - What do customers think about Mandie and the Mysterious Bells (Mandie, Book 10)?
Boring until the last chapter. May 12, 2006
Okay so I wasn't very pleased with this book and I'm so glad I bought it as a Goodwill and only paid fifty cents for it. The book was boring until the last chapter which is the one that gave it the second star. Without that chapter it would be a one star book.
The book starts off with Mandie and Celia having to solve the mystery of why the bells at the church are ringing the wrong number of times. Most of the locals think it is a bad omen espically when the flu breaks out and a big snowstorm comes. When Mandie and Celia solve who is behind the ringing of the bells they have another mini-mystery to solve. At the end of the book it leaves it open for the next book in the Mandie series.
The characters were all okay. The one I loved the most had to be Ben. In the book it is set way back and so the black people are still servants and men seem to be the main provider of the household.
So suspensful! Nov 23, 2005

This a great book. Mandie and her friends, Celia, and Joe, have another mystery to solve. The clock bells, thet ring 13 times at noon and midnight! Mandie makes many trips to the church but only find almost useless clues. In the end they find a helpless man and help him. This book realy had me guessing the ending kind of suprised me.
A wonderful book! Aug 25, 2003
Mandie has returned to Asheville and school, but something very strange and puzzling is happening. The church bell rings not only 12 strikes at 12 o'clock, but 13. And then when a influenza outbreak stuns the city, the townspeople blame it on the bell. Can Mandie figure out the mystery of the bell and keep herself out of trouble at the same time? Apparently not. But she tries her best and is rewarded by solving the mystery. But then another problem arises. Can she save an innocent man from being jailed? Find out in 'Mandie and the Mysterious Bells'!
This book has never failed me. If I want something good to read this book never disappoints me. One thing I like about Mandie is that she is very open and loving, even to people who cause trouble. She can see the good in people and she helps them. That's one of the things I admire in her.
