Reviews - What do customers think about Silver Linings?
Not helpful at all May 18, 2006
This book glibly attempts to offer easy solutions to "just snap out of it" for people experiencing depression. The case studies are often presented in a mocking tone instead of offering compassion. While that approach might work for dealing with some symptoms of depression, it will not work to solve the real problem. The book is advertised as offering God's grace for women dealing with depression, but most of the book is void of any spiritual reference. If you are dealing with real depression, by the time you have decided to pick up this book, you will probably have tried all the solutions offered in the book and are looking for more meaningful answers and hope grounded in truth, not a quick-fix formula.
