More About Shaunti Feldhahn & Lisa A. Rice
Shaunti Feldhahn is the best-selling author of For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men, which has sold 1 million copies in 15 different languages since 2004. Best known for her innovative approach to investigating and quantifying what people "don't know that they don't know" about the opposite sex, Feldhahn hails from a background in economics and analysis rather than the more traditional route of psychology.
Feldhahn received her Bachelor’s degree in government and economics from The College of William and Mary in Virginia (Class of 1989); she then went on to serve on the staff of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. She later attended Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government for a Master in Public Policy, and then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as one of the principal financial analysts on Japan during the time of the Japanese financial crisis.
Feldhahn began her career as an author after moving to Atlanta to start a family. Her background as an analyst served as a launching point for opportunities to write about eye-opening topics, from a non-fictional work on the Y2K issue (Y2K: The Millennium Bug) to two spiritual fiction thrillers (The Veritas Conflict and The Lights of Tenth Street). While interviewing men to help her write The Lights on Tenth Street, which has a male protagonist, Feldhahn made a series of observations about men that compelled her to return to the non-fiction world, leading her to further research what men are thinking that women tend not to know. That became the basis for her book For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men. For Women Only attempts to provide readers with insight into the inner lives of men and the challenges they face. Feldhahn (co-authoring at various times with her husband, Jeff, and on other books with youth speakers Lisa and Eric Rice) continued the series by authoring For Men Only, For Young Women Only, For Young Men Only, and For Parents Only.
In January 2010, Feldhahn transitioned from books principally about personal relationships, and published her first book for the business market: "The Male Factor: The Unwritten Rules, Misperceptions and Secret Beliefs of Men in the Workplace."
A syndicated weekly newspaper columnist for six years (2003 to 2009), Feldhahn debated hot topics with another opinionated female, Andy Sarvady, from opposite philosophical perspectives in the popular "Woman to Woman" column. Once appearing in 50 papers such as the Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Seattle Times, the column was a casualty of the economic downturn and newspaper crash in 2009, when many client newspapers cut back, dropped all syndicated content, or went out of business altogether.
She and her husband, Jeff, are well known authors of such books as For Women Only and For Men Only. They are active leaders in their Atlanta-area church and the parents of two children.

What you should know about men Nov 4, 2008
This book is extremely helpful for women if you want to improve your relationships with men. Not only with your beloved one. In case you want to improve your ability to be supportive towards other people.
For Women Only: Discussion Guide Jun 11, 2008
This discussion guide was very good to go along with the book, especially if you are going to lead a bible study around the book. It probably wouldn't be necessary for everyone in the bible study to buy it though. The other thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it didn't give any room to write answers. So you have to write them in a separate notebook or type up the questions yourself to leave room for answers.
A good start for women. Apr 1, 2008
I liked this book. I bought it for my wife, but I also read it just to be sure that it was even remotely close to my view of "us" (especially myself). I can honestly say that this book relates to at least 10 of my friends , to include myself, in some ways or another (10 out of 15, the other five are just too backwards to apply to my readings). There were some things that I questioned, but after honestly looking within myself, my thoughts agreed with the author for the most part. This book is overall general in content, but it is a great start for women to touch the surface of men and understanding what may be going on within our noggins. If you buy this book and think to yourself, what a waste of money...you were looking too close for details. Get this book to help you understand your spouse or for your spouse to understand himself. Enjoy.
Reality Check! Jun 25, 2007
This is an awesome book which delves into the insights of what men truly feel and think about regarding a number of varied aspects of life. Without losing it's human touch this book reveals some very interesting survey results that I would never have guessed before. Including the importance of your man having and being shown respect by you as his partner. Coming from a women's perspective, I always considered love one of the most important elements in a relationship. I discovered this is not necessarily true for men. Survey says...Respect is what tops their list. Neither of these elements are better or worse than the other, just different as they reflect how men and women are different.
Another awesome book on relating is called "How to Create a Magical Relationship" written by Ariel and Shya Kane. The Kanes present new possibilities in how to relate to your partner that can create and sustain magical relationships. Disharmony is replaced by ease, fun and satisfaction. Both of these books are insightful and potent in presenting new ways of having the best relationship with your partner and others in your life.
Every Woman should read this! Jun 22, 2007
Every woman should read this book! The book will help you understand men! It was so insightful to what's going on in men's brains. Not only did it help me with in my relationship with my husband but with understanding my father, brothers, coworkers, etc. The book is a fun and quick read.
The book is so well written, its easy to go back and reference key points. I will read this book once a year to keep the information fresh in my mind. The book will help you verbalize your needs to your mate. Buy both and ask your partner to read the companion, my husband thanked me after he read it!
