Trosclair is a boy who lives on the Louisiana Bayou where he and his dog Ollie can get anywhere they want in the small boat. Trosclair has been warned not to go to Bee Island Swamp because of Gargantua, a huge and ferocious alligator hangs out there. But Bee Island Swamp is where the very best turtle eggs are to be found. So Troslcair disregards the warning and in order to get those eggs must find a way to outwit that alligator! Peter Huggikns' lively text is perfectly laid out in the context of Lindsey Gardiner's colorful illustrations. The result is Trosclair And The Alligator -- a picturebook story that will thoroughly engage and entertain children ages 4 through 8 from beginning to end!
