Item description for Time and Again by Linda Horton...
Overview Macy Hays is depressed and alone. At age fifteen, it seems her life is over. In the two years since her father left, she has lied about her age and worked to support four younger siblings. They're hungry and a hair's breadth from being homeless. Thus begins Macy's solitary journey on the mean streets of Dallas where she's expected to act like an adult one minute and a child the next. When she meets James Pearson, age eighteen, she begins to experience love for the first time. Then he's shot. While he fights for his life, Macy is whisked away, under false pretenses, to California. They never get the chance to say goodbye. Thirty years later, the self-sufficient Macy tracks James down and they ignite a love neither thought possible. As they plan the wedding, unexpected circumstances turn their world upside down. Desperate, James embarks on a spiritual journey. Macy rebels. Will she be able to break through her emotional walls to follow the path he's chosen? Or will anger and bitterness cause her to lose him forever? Time and Again was inspired by a love story that began in 1962. Some of the characters and events are fiction.

Reviews - What do customers think about Time and Again?
Poignant Story Sep 14, 2007
Linda Horton gives us a poignant story of a young girl's search for love. It's painful for the reader to experience Macy's many disappointments. Often Linda's characters are cruel to our young heroine and we are thrilled when Macy's world begins to brighten. Linda's story reminds us of our human frailties and how a relationship with God can see us through the most difficult circumstances.

TIME AND AGAIN Feb 7, 2005

Time and Again, by Linda Horton Jan 19, 2004
I found Time and Again to be an excellent book. I read it start to finish in a space of a few days, not because it was a long book, but because I wanted it to last like a good dessert. Ms. Horton has a true talent for telling a story. And the best part is the ending. It is not what you think. I highly recommend this book to both men and women. But be ready to feel a variety of emotions. Then pass it on to someone you love. Ben Romero Fresno, CA.
