Reviews - What do customers think about From My Heart to Yours : A Collection of Poems?
Especially for anyone having to struggle with their own sadness and heartache Jul 6, 2005
In her poetry, 83-year-old Lilly Bell Scott draws upon her personal life experiences of being born and raised in eastern Kentucky, including her marriage, raising four children, her widowhood while in her early forties, the death of her youngest sun, and other "life-difficulties" that compelled her to turn to poetry as a kind of therapy to over her pain, confusion, and heart-ache. The best of which are compiled within the pages of From My Heart To Yours and are highly recommended reading -- especially for anyone having to struggle with their own sadness and heartache. Beauty That Money Can't Buy: I look at the beauty money can't buy,/The twinkling stars you see in the sky,/The sunshine bright, the moon at night,/God made it all; He made it right.//So many different kinds of trees,/Some red and purple and green to see/God put them there for a special reason, Just like He gave us different seasons.//Everything is made for us with love,/We sometimes forget it comes from above,/We fail to stop and think and look/All the beauty you can't describe in a book.//All the things of beauty God gave is a treasure,/The worth of all no man can measure./Thank you Lord, for all you've done./We should remember them everyone.
