Reviews - What do customers think about Left Behind Collection I/Volumes 1-4?
One good thing ... Oct 17, 2006
... the one good thing about these books is that they finally put this narrow strand of theology where it has always belonged--in the fiction section.
If you are a non-believer who's embarrassed by the poor quality--both theologically and literarily--of this books, please know that many Christians are embarrassed by them too. Please don't form your opinions of Christian faith on the basis of these pathetic works of fiction. I simply wish there were an option for less than one star; even one star is too much praise for these works.
Why continue to be deceived... Jun 26, 2006
Tim LaHaye, Jerry Jenkins, and others in the Pre-Trib circle, such as Ed Hindson, Tommy Ice, Chuck Missler, etc., continue to put forth the same deceptions that Hal Lindsey popularized decades ago. The notion of a pre-tribulation rapture is foreign to scripture, it is foreign to the teachings of the early Church, and it is grooming the Church for destruction through ignorance and lack of preparation for what is really coming. These men are novices and not prophecy "experts" or "scholars" by any stretch of the imagination; they are those who tickle the ears of gullible Christians. Why continue to be deceived? Tim Cohen, in his excellent book, "The AntiChrist and a Cup of Tea," provides biblically sound and testable evidence to show that the coming AntiChrist is known NOW. Not only that, the same author (Tim Cohen) has now put out the strongest presentation on the whole issue of the rapture EVER offered to the saints of God in Christ: "The REAL Rapture". If you really want to know the truth about the timing of the coming rapture, then you need to hear Tim Cohen's "The REAL Rapture" (based on a volume in his forthcoming "Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period" series (see Prophecy House's web site, prophecyhouse dot com, for details on these items).
Christian propaganda? Yeah Right! Mar 21, 2005
Mark Moore has it wrong. These books may be Christian, but they are not propaganda. They tell about something that I (and many others) believe will happen. Mark says that it is "ludicrous" to believe that the world would go into chaos if all the Christians disappeared. Yeah right! Let's see millions around the world disappear at the same time and without warning and not have chaos! I think that Mark's accusations are what's ludicrous. "An evil religion perpetuated by zealous idiots"?!? Give me a break! Christians are as normal as anyone else. In the Bible, the book of Revelation takes about "20 pages" because it gives only enough information to understand what will happen. The Left Behind books are much longer because they put the happenings into real life happenings. Mark says that there are no non-Christian records of Jesus. Wrong again. There was a non-Christian historian named Josephus who lived at about the same time as Jesus and who mentioned Him in his writings.
As for the quality of the books? They are great. I found them to be very good quality. I never wanted to put them down. You can rarely guess what will happen next, and the books end at a point that really makes you want to read the next book and find out what happens. Read and enjoy.

I've read a number of reviews, but the ones by those who refute the validity of the bible flays me. The left behind series is a set of biblical Fiction/non fiction novels on what will happen as we draw to the day of the L-rd. Firstly let me tell you something that is not written in the Left Behind series. Did you know that the Jewish Bible (the Tanuch) was copied in about 380BC by Hebrew scolars so that the Jewish people that were under the rule of the Greeks and thus had learnt Greek and had forgotten there origanal hebrew language could continue reading the Bible. thus we have two Bibles, one the Tanuch, the other the Septugint which was a complete greek translation of the Tanuch. What's in the Tanuch is in the Septugint and visa versa. So we have more than two hundred prophecies pertaining to Yeshua(Jesus)But lets just look at one or two of them, not forgetting that the Septugint was completed over 300yrs. before Yeshua(Jesus).Read Gen 3:15. Right from the first sin of man G-d already knew that He would have to find a way to redeem His creation. Why the seed of the woman.Man has the seed not the woman.G-d interveened and thus the child became the Son of G-d. Read the Gospel of John and then read Psalm22, Isaiah 53.Is it not unreal that what G-d said about Christ hundreds of years before came about to the last prophecy and it's not finnished.Left Behind will cause your minds eye to witness vividly What the Bible (especially Revelation)talk about on the end times. Get the books and enjoy. G-d Bless you all.
Our Destiny Nov 22, 2004
Fortunately, for me I didn't have to wait for all of them to come out. When I began the first one, I couln't put it down. I was encapsulated instantly, looking and practically begging for the next one in line. I have read all of the series in Left Behind, and they are brilliantly written. The kind of book that stops you in your tracks and makes you think, mainy about your life and the quality one lives. I began to ask myself about my integrity and how I treat others. How much do I love God and believe in Him. I continue to read any book related to the Left Behind series. They are not only inspirational, they have meaning and purpose in my life. Thank You Tim LeHaye and this site.com
