More About Larry Kreider
Larry Kreider currently serves as International Director of DOVE Christian Fellowship International (DCFI), a worldwide network of churches.
At age 18, Larry began working with a group of unchurched young people in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. As the teens made commitments to Christ, they found it difficult to fit into area churches. To help meet this need, Larry and a team of young leaders planted a new church called DOVE Christian Fellowship in 1980. Within ten years, the church grew from 25 to over 2,000 members. In 1996, DOVE decentralized from one church into several different congregations to become an apostolic movement known as DOVE Christian Fellowship International (DCFI). Today DCFI is a growing family of churches and ministries scattered across eighteen states and more than twenty nations in six continents of the world.
During the past two decades, Larry has trained Christian leaders nationally and internationally to make disciples with the small group concept. He teaches and writes from experience and passion to reach those who have not yet heard and encourage the body of Christ.
He has written more than twenty-five books. Over 300,000 of his books have been sold and translated into over ten languages. He and his wife LaVerne, have been married 37 years, have four children, three grandchildren and live in Lititz, PA.

Determining the Foundational Truths of Christian Living Feb 12, 2009
Written by Larry Kreider "Discovering the Basic Truths of Christianity" presents basic theology in an easy to read and understand format of modern day stories and Bible doctrines which enable the reader to build a solid spiritual foundation.
The book is arranged in five sections. Section one addresses knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and what it means to be a Christian. Section two discusses a new way of living for believers. This includes the elementary principles of Christian living.
Section three introduces New Testament Baptisms. Kreider acknowledges that there are diverse interpretations in this area and that there is sometimes controversy when dealing with the subject of water Baptism and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. He then goes on to objectively articulate his conclusions/ He is true to his personal convictions which follow most evangelical theologians. His stance on Holy Spirit Baptism, follow a more charismatic line. He is convincing without being dogmatic in his point of view.
Section four gives instructions on building for eternity. Part five concludes with important insights into living in and experiencing God's transforming grace.
The thought provoking reflection questions are stimulating and often convicting. I enjoyed the short poignant stories that illustrated Christian principles like: Making Jesus Lord in our lives, understanding the terms of discipleship and the cost of commitment, and experiencing victory over sin in out lives. The end-notes provide an excellent source of reference material available for future study.
Whether talking about, renewal, repentance, or warning against apathy and compromise, Kreider conveys the excitement of awakening to God-given truth. His writing is focused, well organized, and relevant. The book is rich in spiritual content, a life changing message, sound scriptural teaching, and a solid Biblical foundation. This is a hand book for new believers and can be adapted for the more mature Christian to use as a tool when mentoring others. Highly recommended.

Helps for the New or Growing Christian Jan 27, 2009
Pastor and Denominational Leader Larry Kreider writes like I just love to read. This book should be a requirement for all Christians to read and study, and to place the leaning in their lives and right after accepting Jesus as Savior. This book is strenthened by the full use of Bible references along with ENDNOTES and 4 Refelcting Questions at the end of each chapter. The writings are based on Truth and not on any denominational practices, etc. It is a Holy Spirit-led book. "It is the book all should read".
