Reviews - What do customers think about KJV Wide Margin Large Print Bible-HC?
Just Right Nov 8, 2009
Since I consider other translations of the Bible to be error prone, I am a person who studies only the KJV and prefer the Scofield translation. Since I could not locate such a product with the large print and wide margin, I purchased this version by Hendrickson and simply ignore the condordance offered and use my Strong's. The Book is better than great. Use it with your Strong's and you will not go wrong.
This is a blue collar Bible. Oct 27, 2009
The cover of the Bible looks like the box it comes in, rather than the cover itself. It has orange and different shades of blue, in a design that actually looks nice, if you don't mind off color Bibles. Doesn't bother me because this is a rather affordable Bible, and its wide margins are a huge, huge plus. Plenty of space for notes and corrections. That is what I like about it. That is why I bought it. One little caution: The pages are thin, and for marking the Bible you need to use a thin pen, like .038 or smaller. Regular 07 gel pens bleed through. With the .038 pen, you can still see the words on the other side, but it doesn't bleed through. It leaves a shadow of those words. Also the Bible is kind of big, like a dictionary almost. Considering the cost of the Bible, I can't complain. I like it. It works for me.
The unreasonable forgiveness that God gives us through Jesus Christ the Lord takes one's breath away. It is unspeakable, beyond words of amazement.
Ugly cover! Apr 3, 2009
The Bible itself is fine, quite sufficient unto my needs. What totally shocks me is that the picture you see in the advertising is not the picture of the box it comes in, it is the picture of the Bible itself. I have. I was totally shocked. Now I'm trying to figure out how to spray paint it. I am not happy, not terribly upset, but definitely not happy!
