I picked this book up after getting stocked up on Reality Check, trying to figure out what other authors Thomas published on the roster. [...] produced a talented author in Terry Lloyd Vinson. This is their other author. I compare SHRED to a very dark version of Charles Dickens, you keep thinking to yourself it is only a video game in the vibe he has using piranhas as an element of horror here along with a videogame aspect. Coming from the Nintendo generation this is extremely brilliant. Levi is going to be an author you need to keep a real eye on. The book is short but it is fast too, I already am about 31 pages into it and I can say this much, I highly recommend this one if they think Bone Chills is too violent. They describe Levi as being a "light" horror author, but there is nothing light about this story.
Gripping Thriller Jan 27, 2004
Levi's book "Shred" is gripping, easy to read, and a really fun book. It's the story of some college buddies that stumble into a curious situation. Upon further investigation, they witness something awful and become untangled into a high risk game that threatens their very lives and everyone else around them.
Levi does an outstanding job of placing you, the reader, at the scene. Pick up Shred and you will knock it out in no time... because it's a thriller that is hard to put down.
Upcomming Bestseller Jan 6, 2004
Shred is one of the most intense, realistic books I have ever read. I have never heard of the writer before so I hesitated to read the book at first. But let me tell you, once I discovered the briliant writing style of Mr. Levi I fell in love with the book and never let it out of my site.I would recommend this book to anyone who would like see a modern day Carles Dickens. To sum up my "Shred" experience in one word: unbelievable. Enjoy people.
