Item description for The Third Day Bible Code: A Still Here Book by Kermit Zarley...
This is Book 1 of a planned series of nonfiction books on eschatology called "Still Here" as an alternative to Left Behind Theology. This book examines a third-day motif that occurs in some of the most important events in the history of Israel recorded in the Bible. Nearly all of them involved a great crisis in which God rescued a righteous person or Israel itself on the third day. Zarley claims that these many motifs are very cryptic, serving as types. Some forecast Jesus' resurrection on the third day. By applying the biblical principle that "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day," he further insists that most of these-third-day motifs serve as a code that unlocks God's timetable for salvation history, mostly by forecasting Jesus' return during the early part of the third millennium following his departure, between the years 2070 and 2250. Whether one agrees with this sensational thesis regarding the approximate time of Jesus' return, this book will serve as a strong apologetic for Jesus' resurrection as well as strengthen Christians in their faith.

Reviews - What do customers think about The Third Day Bible Code: A Still Here Book?
A fascinating Book Jan 27, 2008
What a fascinating book. I've known Kermit for 40+ years. We are both former members of The University of Houston golf team and we played on the PGA Tour at the same time. I had no idea he had such a talent until a couple of months ago when we attended a UH golf team reunion. Kermit and I were over at another teammate's home for dinner and I saw The Third Day Bible Code on a table. I briefly scanned it and found it intriguing enough to go online and buy it.(Naturally I got Kermit to sign it for free!)Being only 220 pages, I figured I could read it in a couple of nights. It took 3 weeks of intense reading to complete it. To get the full impact, I will have to read it at least 2 more times and then put it on the shelf as reference material. What's impressive is how Kermit had the time to write books. Having been a professional golfer, I know how much time and effort is required to keep your skills at a high level. I admire Kermit for being able to both so well. I have wondered where Kermit developed such a vocabulary, especially since all he was used to saying on the golf tour was "you're away" and "four". Keep your dictionary handy and I hope you enjoy The Third Day Bible Code as much as I did.
The Third Day Bible Code: A Still Here Book Jul 18, 2007
It is said that the Bible is the most widely read book on the planet. Most would agree that it is also the most disagreed book as well. It seems that everyone who reads the Bible has their own interpretation and their own theories about what the Bible actually says.
The Third Day Bible Code takes a look into the potential prophetic properties of the Bible. Many people believe that within the text lies a code that could give us insight into when the Second Coming of Christ will occur. Over the centuries there have been numerous calculations and theories about why these dates are correct.
The author of The Third Day Bible Code has his own hypothesis: extremely well thought out and presented. This somewhat complex supposition is presented in steps for easier understanding. These steps involve the explanation of three Biblical motifs (the third day, a day equals a thousand years, and forty days) to come up with an approximate date when Christ could return to the Earth and what factors actually effect the preciseness of this date.
Ver, very interesting! Nov 12, 2006
I was amazed to read the information in this outstanding book, "The Third Day Bible Code," by author Kermit Zarley. Inside our author examines a third day motif that occurs in some of the events in the history of Israel that are recorded in the Bible. What could be so important about the third day and just what does it mean anyway? Many of these recorded events show where God rescued His people or Israel on the third day. Even Jesus rose again on the third day. Could this be a key to open knowledge for the Christian even in their personal lives? There is so much information in this wonderful book that it would be impossible for me to relate it to you. However, if you are a Bible scholar, a truth seeker or just love to know hidden secrets in God's Word, you will love this work. Not a fast read, this is one that needs to be savored, read slowly, meditated upon and thought about. Very interesting and perhaps even a little hint of when Jesus will return? Of course this reviewer hopes that we won't have to wait that long. One can only imagine.
