Item description for Being God's Man by Walking a New Path (The Every Man Series) by Stephen Arterburn, Kenny Luck & Todd Wendorff...
Overview Just as the Apostle Paul was tough and uncompromising, this study challenges readers to do anything to win the battle and stay true to their identities as men of God.
Publishers Description Take up a new calling. Walk a new path. And experience life's greatest adventure. Will you discover your true reason for living, enter the battle, and become a new man in Christ? Or will you settle for less? To live more purposefully, to experience a full life, to become "more, "you will have to""become" someone else" and walk a new path. This kind of attitude is what the Navy Seals look for in a man: Rogue warriors. Unconventional. Committed. Guys who will do anything to win the battle and stay true to their new identities. Walking this new path requires men who won't shrink from the battle. In spirit, the Apostle Paul was this kind of a rogue warrior for God's kingdom. He was tough and uncompromising and he held to a code that marked his life. He lived on purpose, not by accident. He surrendered his life and became a support for others. If you choose to become this kind of man made new, unwilling to compromise, then let this great apostle lead the way. "Special Features: "-Practical studies facilitate personal encounters with God and other men -Questions encourage genuine reflection and help build godly convictions -"Real Life" case studies show how the truths you discover have worked out in other men's lives -"Standing Strong" section gives you the opportunity to form and express your action steps with God and your group

Reviews - What do customers think about Being God's Man by Walking a New Path (The Every Man Series)?
Works well for new groups Jan 7, 2009
This book is a great first study for new men's groups. The series is wonderful but some of the other titles are more appropriate for groups who have met for a while.
Solid study for men that are beginning their walk w/ Christ as well as the more developed Jan 4, 2009
As I was looking for some solid bible study materials for my men's small group, I found the "Every Man" series and gave the guys a list of the titles and this was what the majority of them chose as the one they wanted to go through. At first, I was apprehensive because of reading the description and figuring that it was more for men seeking Jesus for the first time, but as time went on, I couldn't believe how much it was speaking to me.
While it follows the same format as the others of the series, the questions and the passages (Romans) they go through really help you understand the struggle we have w/ sin as well as what God has given us to combat it. There's also another book in the series that picks up in Romans where this book leaves off.
If you're looking for material for any type of men's group, use one of the titles from The Every Man Series. If you are interested in how to defeat sin and why sin is ample in our lives, choose this particular title.
