Reviews - What do customers think about A New Protestant Labor Ethic at Work?
A Must Read for All Those Interested in Labor Issues Oct 8, 2003
Dr. Estey has produced a solidly researched book illuminating the collusion between formative religious thinkers and corporate interests. In an age inundated with corporate crime, Estey brings us back to the things that really matter: issues of justice, integrity, and basic rights in the workplace. Stepping outside his role as academician and becoming something of an undercover journalist, Estey lays bare some of the more pressing injustice of the working world.
The ties in our movements Dec 17, 2002
Mr. Estey's premier work is a fresh look at what goes on in the world of work. It's clear from his thesis that progressive faith-based movements have to make common cause with the labor movement and work toward developing the strengths of both. The concision of the book belies the strength of the message. Mr. Estey's commitment to progressive change is clear. I hope to see more from him.
