Knowing Our Position In Christ Guarantees Answers to Prayer Nov 2, 2003
Dr. Chant Has written an excellent book expalining our position, authority, and blessings in Christ. Dr. Chant expounds upon Ephesians 2:6 and other passages of Scripture to give his reader an understanding of the present reality of their throne rights. The average Chritian is living beneath their privileges in Christ. This is effecting their walk and prayer life. If one does not expect answers to prayer then they more than likely will not pray. Dr. Chant's book will widen the vision of the average believer from one of a spiritual pauper to that of a king who reigns with Christ.
In this book, Dr. Chant (who has an earned doctorates and has started several Bible colleges) explains the trem "throne rights," what it means to be already positionally in the heavenlies, what it means to have Christ in you and for you to be "hidden in Christ." After helping us to understand these positional terms, Dr. Chant takes us further into the exciting truth of answered prayer, speaking words that bring miraculus results, the power and authority in using the name of Jesus in prayer and the important place that praise has in prayer. These are lessons that every Christian will benefit from.
My only problem with Dr. Chant's book is his belief that "nothing could happen to any of God's servants that is contrary to His divine purposes." While this is by no means an underlying theme in his book, it does somewhat contradict the excellent teaching found throughout the rest of the book. Some things most certainly happens to God's people outside of His divine purposes. God is indeed sovereign but not all controlling. Thankfully, Chant does not go so far as to take this statement to fatalistic conclusions.
Unfortunately, that one statement has caused me to give it four stars rather than five. However, it is a book that I highly recommend to every Christian. Buy it and apply the principles taught in it and watch your prayer life be revolutionized.
