Reviews - What do customers think about Familiar Spirits?
Amazing insight to the spiritual world Apr 20, 2008
I recently purchased the book Familiar Spirits, because the book was about a woman's journey through the darkness of evil to the presence of God. As a Christian, I know that the spirit world is very real, but I did not know how active it COULD be. K.Alexander shares with the readers her very personal journey in dealing with the spirits of darkness and how the evil tormented her until she became a believer in Christ.
This is an amazing read for everybody. It is unique because Alexander did not believe in God - and dealt with spirits of evil and darkness her entire life. Her perspective gives a unique insight from the angle of a non-believer that has an undeniable experience that led her to the Lord.
If you ever wondered about the spirit realm and questioned it's reality, read this book, you will never wonder again.
Everybody must read this book, you will not be disappointed by this quick, easy read.
A must read! Feb 21, 2008
In Familiar Spirits, Alexander has created not only an excellent account of her personal journey toward spirituality, but in the process has also achieved in writing something that will resonate loudly with so many in so many places. While the surface of the material offers an interesting description of Alexander's ups and downs, the reader will also come away with a clear route to exploring the question, 'What am I doing with my life?'. Written in a style meant to be read both casually and by searching eyes expecting answers, Alexander has successfully created a book that will appeal to many. Readers assume the role of outside bystander as the story begins through the suspenses, wanderings, and search for understanding told by Alexander, but quickly become integrated into the story itself as it spans from the rough and tough times of the 1960s into the modern, scientifically-sound moments of the 1990s. An easy-read, an exciting-read, and certainly a must-read.
