Item description for The House of Ecksteins: A Doctor's Ill-Fated Journey by Karun Nayar...

MEDICAL CRIME / HOSPITAL POLITICS / DRAMA. Journey through the tragic experiences of Dr. Joseph J. Alvarez who came to America as a foreign doctor to practice medicine with hopes of having a good life and livelihood. Instead, he spirals downward into the whirlpool of corporate evil, rippling into many hardships and heartaches.

Wicked and shameless manipulation of Medicare, boundless greed and power, money laundering---all victimize so many elderly patients, along with this good-faith doctor on a J1 visa.

Written by a practicing physician whose first-hand observations and imagination created a novel with true-to-life people and situations where the innocent and ignorant get cheated.

A must-read to inform the general public of what atrocities the healthcare system can impose on helpless people, including our own families and well-intention doctors.
