Karun Nayar is the pseudonym for B.K. Nair, a physician of Indian origin, practicing in Florida for many years. He attended several universities in this country and abroad, but the University of California Berkeley is considered his alma mater that inspired him the most. He is a member of multiple professional and social organizations includiong the American Association of Physicians from India (AAPI) and the Association of Kerala Medical Graduates (AKMG). Formerly, he held a faculty appointment at the University of California, San Francisco. He has both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees.
