Reviews - What do customers think about The Shadow Within?
The Shadow Within Mar 14, 2007
How can I count the ways I love this book? I can hardly wait until the next in the series is released. Karen Hancock creates a wonderful world that I can get lost in. I read her books slowly so I can savor them. I know they will end all too soon. I love the allegory and hope that her book will make a difference in other people's lives, as it has in mine. I pray that more Christian fantasy authors like Karen will be raised up soon. I believe there is a great demand for them.
My New Favorite Author Mar 1, 2007
Just adding my 5 stars to the average. Enjoyed this series more than Lord of the Rings, and at least as much as Dune and Ender's Game. Karen Hancock is now at the very top of my list.
Victory is won! Jun 4, 2006
Abramm has returned! His brother, Gillard, is beside himself when Abramm makes the claim for the crown that is rightfully his. Mrs. Hancock's writing pulled me into the story and made me almost cry when Abramm won the victory! This sequel to The Light of Eidon is absolutely wonderful!
Simply Amazing Feb 21, 2006
Karen Hancock has outdone herself yet again. I could hardly put this book down. It draws amazing and deep parallels between the world of Kiriath, Eidon, Tersius, and Christians today. It brings the reality of spiritual battle and the wonder of Christ's love to life. I absolutely loved this book, and recommend it to anyone looking for a good read!
Spending time with a good friend Jan 21, 2006
This is an excellent series! After The Light of Eidon, reading The Shadow Within was like spending time with a friend. Hancock did a great job developing the characters, especially Abramm. I found myself a little impatient with Carissa's character, (Come on. Get over it already!), but knew everything would come together at the right time. Well worth your time!
