Community Description This book affirms the special bond between mother and child that initiates the child's understanding of relationship to God. The mother meets the child's needs with a warm bed, good food, and rules for safety and health. The mother reads stories and "In story after story, we'll learn about how God always keeps his promises."
Help with study, reassurance in the dark, and love along life's way is promised. The colored pictures of a snuggly baby being baptized with water from a seashell, a young boy brushing his teeth, and a girl praying, catch the emotions of the moment. Children from various ethnic groups are shown. Parents will enjoy reading this book again and again to their children as they grow together in the family of God. Reviews - What do customers think about Mommy Promises?
Appeals to those with reformed theology. Mar 12, 2007
After reading Daddy promises I eagerly ordered Mommy Promises. However, I returned the book after discovering that it states the child was adopted into the family of God by baptism. I personally believe in believer's baptism not infant baptism. Therefore, I very regrettably returned this very beautiful book.
