Tasty History Jun 30, 2005
This book is a winner, and not just for children! Pilgrim society comes vividly alive through believable characters and of course, those surprisingly adaptable recipes. We've successfully turned out several of them, and in the process awakened an interest in early American history in our young nephews. Thanksgiving projects are a natural tie in, but "Pilgrim Girl" will feed body and spirit any time.

This volume is just what we were looking for for the library at our daughters elementary school. It is a wonderful balance of history, adventure and great recipes for kids to try. A great resource for teachers and parents! Charming and so well done. HIghly suggest this one for class projects.
