Reviews - What do customers think about When Love Dies How To Save A Hopeless Marriage?
This book saved my marriage! Feb 4, 2007
I seriously credit this book as the beginning step in saving my marriage. I read it with an open mind and it gave me a whole new perspective on my relationship. It gave me insight into myself and the way I viewed my marriage. It gave me hope and taught me to find a new respect for my husband. I believe this book can be the first step to a happier, healthier marriage -- I recommend it to anyone contemplating divorce or feeling like he/she is in a loveless marriage. (The book does reference God but it is not a religious, preachy type of book.)
Uplifting and Courageous Oct 16, 2006
I recommend When Love Dies to every married woman. Husbands, too. This courageous book gives hundreds of Biblical and practical reasons for women to hang onto their marriages. There is a light at the end of the tunnel! I admire the author for her honesty and generosity when sharing her own journey and victory.
religious propoganda disguised as a relationship book Aug 18, 2006
I bought this book hoping for some help to make a difficult decision. I was horrified by the authors irresponsible choice of using a relationship book to promote her religious views on divorce. All the book did was repeatedly say that no matter how miserable you are in your marraige and how emotionally damaging your relationship is that divorce is the worst evil and to stay together no matter what. It tells readers that divorce is the most miserable thing and that no matter how horrible your marriage may be that divorce is worse. I found the book to be offensive and dangerous for women who are in abusive relationships who are being told that it is better to stay and be abused than to go against god and destroy your family.

Not helpful at all Aug 7, 2006
I did not find this book to be helpful in the least bit to help save my marriage. The author urges you to accept the situation and just learn to be happy with what you have. I believe in God and religion, but this book went way too far with that angle. A little would have gone a long way with me, but not the main theme throughout the book. I am writing this review because I did not get this indication from the other reviews I read before buying it. If you did NOT include "Love, honor and OBEY" in your wedding vows, then this book probably isn't for you.
