Overview Offers a challenge to embrace a passionate life in accordance with God's calling, explaining the role of passion in enabling personal motivation while explaining how an enthusiastic attitude can lead to fulfillment.
Publishers Description In I DARE YOU, Joyce Meyer explains that we all need a reason to get up everyday. We all need to reach for something beyond ourselves.
Over the centuries, millions of people have asked, "What am I here for? What is my purpose?" We are born; we live; and we die. We cannot do anything about being born or dying, but we can do a lot about how we live. Taking responsibility for how we live takes courage. To accept life as it comes and to be determined to make the most we can out of it, is a challenge.
Joyce challenges listeners to make sure they live their lives with purpose and passion. Each individual has an intrinsic desire to reach for goals that seem unreachable, to be moving toward something at all times. She teaches that everyone has a purpose, God has a plan, and with the decision to align ourselves with that plan, anyone can live out their days with vigor and enthusiasm. And last but not least, Joyce dares you to live with purpose and passion and discover the profound effect this will have on their lives.

Excellnt book Jun 8, 2008
This is a another great book by Joyce Meyer. It is a book that helps you to really think about where you are in your spiritual life. There are questions to help you evaluate yourself. It is a great for someone who wants to grow spiritually.
Not that great Feb 21, 2008
Her bottom line message is revelant to all. I was annoyed with how she inaccurately quoted the bible. She took a lot of quotes out of context and manipulated them to represent her point of view. You could easily read the title of each section and her quotes pulled out of her writing and get more from the book than reading the entire book. It was like reading a paper from a classmate in high school. Overall, I agree with the point of each chapter but not the her writting.
No, I dare you Feb 9, 2008
I agree with the other reviewers that the voice in the audio isn't that great, but even so the message is inspirational. For someone who has lived through a very difficult life, I have found much inspiration and motivation through Joyce. To be honest Joyce isn't that easy to listen to herself, her voice is rough and tumble, but that's just her and yet, even so, to be able to inspire and motivate people and give them hope - that says a lot about her. Get this, you won't regret it! 6 hours is not that long and by the end you will be wanting more of her message, if not the voice you've listened to, but if you think about it, sometimes when we are not comfortable to a certain speaker, but the message is sound, we tend to listen better by paying closer attention instead of drifting off...

no passion in the presentation Dec 29, 2007
The message is solid, but the presentation is weak. If it was Joyce doing the audio, it would be great, but there was less passion in the reading than I would have given, and I talk like a robot.
I dare you review Dec 17, 2007
the book is great. I'm not fond of the voice who read the book. Joyce should record her own books on audio, would make a world of difference!
