Item description for The Little Manual of Perfect Prayer and Adoration by Joseph-Marie Perrin...
Overview Forged amid the horror of Nazi-occupied France during World War II, this book brings you the wisdom of a man who walked in peril of his life every day - and could rely only upon prayer to sustain his faith and hope. Fr. Joseph-Marie Perrin's harrowing experiences risking his life to help Jews escape the Nazi death-grip taught him the importance of adoration and prayer: from the power of hasty prayers whispered as danger approached to the consolation of quiet adoration once the threat passed. In this book he sets out for you what he learned: how to overcome difficulties in prayer; what you can learn from the "Our Father" that will transform all your prayers; how to adore God in spirit and in truth and to say yes to all that He asks of you; how to answer Christ's call to watch with Him; the best way to ask God for what you need; and much more.
