Dissappointed Jul 11, 2009
The book is well written but, it was not what I expected I have a DVD where Antonio Jose Ponte appears in a documentary and he speaks about Cuba's revolution and how it makes ruins I thought the book was going to be about expanding along those lines and not urban stories. I guess the book's ok. I was dissappointed because I thought it was going to be about something else. By the way, the name of this author is Antonio Jose Ponte you have him listed as Jose Antonio which is more common use of those 2 names but that is not his name if you look at the cover it reads Antonio Jose Ponte.
Un Arte de Hacer Ruinas y otros cuentos Nov 16, 2008
Un Arte De Hacer Ruinas Y Otros Cuentos/an Art of Making Ruins And Other Stories (Aula Atlantica) This is a wonderfully written book by Ponte who left Cuba just a few years ago. He is a great writer who has experienced Communism first hand and for many years. His stories are real-life stories although written using similes and metaphors. Great book! Teresa - Miami, Florida.
