Contemplating the words and stories written in this book brought to my mind a better understanding of the reality of the judgment seat. When I have to stand at Jesus' judgment seat, if there's going to be anything commendable that I did, it will be completely due to Jesus grace and not my own abilities, but regardless of that, there WILL be a day when I have to see my life replay before my eyes.
Favorite quote: "The[re] is a fine line to walk when we consider the bema [judgment seat of Christ, for believers]. To overdo the aspect of sorrow undermines the grace of God, but to underestimate its effect [we shall know shame as we suffer loss] destroys any reason to remain faithful. The important thing to remember is that we'll give an account to Jesus for our deeds. We can change our lives when we make decisions based on this knowledge."
I found the description of his first wife's cancer and passing touching. What influenced me most from the book was his discussion of joy: Jesus' joy in us is His joy - His joy in redeeming us, His joy of living in us, and His joy of bearing fruit in us.

Though the subject matter is deep, this book is easy to read and understand. The examples are practical, which I appreciate. I came away with a better understanding of how to live my earthly life for better eternal rewards. This is a must-have and must-read for any Christian who wants to have a deeper relationship with Christ.

A very thought provoking book on how life can be lived on a daily basis. Great questions at the end of every chapter to challenge the reader to look further into their own life.
