Item description for Joels Use of Scripture and the Scriptures Use of Joel (Biblical Interpretation Series) by John Strazicich...
This work focuses on the appropriation and resignification of scripture in Joel and its NT Nachleben, where Israels literature functions as an authoritative medium of refraction. The purpose is to recover the canons unrecorded hermeneutics at the intersection of both diachronic and synchronic textual surfaces.

Soundness Sep 26, 2009
This was one of my professors back in the Pacific (AS). The soundness of his methods and teachings paved the way for my theological studies. Especially it helped me to love the Old Testament more and more. I really like how he unfolds the interconnection and the interrelation between Joel and the scripture, this is pure original stuff!. From a students perspective, this book encourages the authenticity of scripture and its divine status. John is one of the best in the OT field, his structural analysis just makes it easier for one to understand a certain text and constantly fall in love with it. His openness to dialogue is one thing students really appreciate about this scholar. I would also mention his fearlessness to challenge any current theological issues. I strongly suggest this book in your bookshelf.
