It's just what is says.. exploring the scriptures! Jun 29, 2005
This is an excellent book. This book gives enough background of each book of the bible to be able to understand the basic concepts, but at the same time doesn't overload you with detail. It also sparked new study subjects for me that I hadn't thought of before. I have really enjoyed this book.
A concise and complete picture of each book of the Bible Mar 5, 1999
Phillips comments are the best preparation for studying any book of the Bible I have found. His summary and overall picture of each book will make it so easy to study. The outlines truly outline the book to make it easy to study and to teach. There is a wealth of quotes and references from others that add great insight to the teaching. Reading his chapter on any book of the Bible you are going to study is a must. You will be glad you did. I have been unusually blessed and helped by this book.
