Overview
Maintain the Marshmallow Principle-with this follow-up to the international bestseller! Everyone's favorite stumbling striver returns in another simple and telling parable from acclaimed motivational expert Joachim de Posada. Arthur has been practicing the principles of success, but after he accepts a lucrative new job, he finds himself reverting to his old gobbling habits. Perfect for anyone in transition, this book explains how to apply the principles of success to changing circumstances. In our go-go culture, "wait" has become the most offensive of four-letter words, but patience is not the same as self-sacrifice, and holding out for something you really want is far more satisfying than settling for whatever is available. Don't Gobble the Marshmallow...Ever! teaches the importance of lifelong non-nibbling-and promises sweet rewards.

Reviews - What do customers think about Don't Gobble the Marshmallow...Ever!: The Secret to Sweet Success in Times of Change?

Simple, yet powerful steps to follow for success  Jun 26, 2009

Having thoroughly enjoyed Don't Eat The Marshmallow Yet, I was eagerly anticipating the next sequel. It doesn't disappoint. The authors point out through time tested and proven fables that success is not rocket science, it is a matter of continuously adhering to certain principles and practices that have proven themselves time and again. Like the first book this is a must read for all high school graduates going out into the world.

Don't Gobble the Marshmallow...Ever  Jun 23, 2009
An Awesome work. For anyone who wants to be able to achieve their dreams in good times or bad, this is the instruction manual to get. That is right after you finish the first book "Don't eat the Marshmallow...Yet!"

A Life Lesson Taught  Feb 28, 2009
This book and it's companion are wonderful graduation gifts for graduate --- high school, college, or even a new job. Oh my, the life lessons are taught so simply and succinctly. It should be required reading for all Business Administrators as well as anyone wanting to get ahead ... especially those type A personalities.

Planning for Abundance and a Happy Retirement  Jul 11, 2008
At first glance this book seems like simple fiction with life lesson material that many are already familiar with: conservative spending while planning your nest egg, setting realistic goals and planning ways to reach them. The story, however, is surprisingly powerful in an understated and subtle way. In fact the strength of it sneaked up on me as I moved through the book.

At a time in my own life when I was working through a major life change, I found this book to be a terrific asset to my ability to be resourceful and focused. In fact, after I finished reading it one evening in bed, I got up and began writing down ideas to implement the author's principles and ended up working out issues and writing plans far into the night.

This is a great book to help readers become involved in manifesting a life path that more accurately reflects the desires of the heart, and offers practical suggestions to get moving in that direction.

At the same time it reminds readers to make allowances for the future by not only living within our means, but by savoring the fruits of our accomplishments (the marshmallow) in nibbles, rather than gobbling the entire fruit at one sitting.

For a society filled with entrepreneurs who have no focus, employees who hate their jobs and consumers with over-extended credit lines, this is a book that brings common sense and heart back into the mix of making a living while leading a meaningful life.

Even more interesting than the first book  May 20, 2008
I wouldn't have thought that I would be able to say that but I can. Don't gobble the Marshmallow...ever! managed to build on the message in the first book and deal with the all important area of failing to keep up with change and falling back to bad habits.

Joachim de Posada and Ellen Singer managed to deal with this almost never dealt with area and managed to once again package their message into a very readable book. Well done!
