Item description for Reaching Outward: Helping Your Group Members Bring Christ Into Everyday Relationships (Community Life) by Jim Egli & Scott Boren...
Reaching Outward is a unique small group curriculum resource containing interactive questions for six sessions. It contains scripture memory verses for the group members, Bible application (as opposed to Bible Study), and a weekly devotional for the small group leader. This resource is unique in that it doesn't just teach a group of believers about the importance of evangelism?it helps them create a list of unchurched friends and starts them on a relational process of serving them as a group, inviting them to dinner parties, and redefining the word evangelism. This curriculum is excellent for the stagnant small group who cares about each other, but isn't reaching out This is the third book in a series called Community Life by Cell Group Resources.

Editor's Review Mar 31, 2007
I did the editing on this small group curriculum for the publisher. Egli does a wonderful job of helping a small group discuss the fears and misconceptions of evangelism and then moves them through a process of praying for and spending time with unchurched people. I have not seen any other small group curriculum that moves a group to ministry to one another like this resource does.
