Spencer. wow, he's tough but a true teddy bear. adandoned by his mother Spencer became overprotective of his family and guarding his heart from his secret crush almost lost all happiness until...he almost lost her forever.
great book. love the series
Interesting, but not likely Dec 23, 2009
I guess, as a Christian, I've never seen one person as sour as the main character. He works in a Christian bookstore, goes to church, has an all Christian family, fellowships, and is the most sour person you've ever known. Obviously he can only see his extreme sadness and disappointment in his mother leaving them when he was young, and cannot see all the love and relational success stories around him with his sisters and his father knowing true love. Any why the girl continues her interest in him is beyond reason, because he's so mean to her and says such hateful things. I guess this is just beyond my realm of experience that it just didn't make sense. It's interesting, I'll give you that, and it's sweet, when it isn't mean, and it ends very well. I've read Jillian Hart books before, and they were good.
Seriously? Dec 7, 2009
The grouchiest guy in the world has a crush on the nicest lady in the world, and his family all wants him to settle down. Wow. What a line up. This book did not do it for me at all, I thought Lucy should run away screaming and the male protagonist, Spencer, should grow up and stop acting like a total ass. This book is a waste of print.

This has been a ongoing series that truly works itself through from a century ago and up until present day. Keeping the characters in this Montana area has a reader wanting to visit such a place because the author Jillian Hart describes it so well.
