Reviews - What do customers think about A Grammar of Tamashek Tuareg (Mouton Grammar Library) (Mouton Grammar Library)?
Not for the faint of heart Mar 25, 2008
First off, I am not by any stretch a linguist so this review is not intended for any but amateurs. If you're interested in learning Tamashek, your resources are beyond limited (unless you are able to study with a native speaker). That said, this book is the only resource, beyond limited vocabulary in books on the Taureg, that I've found. A lot can be gleaned from this book if you have the patience (I've been reduced to taking notes for the first time in years!). It is quite expensive so be sure you really want to learn as much as you can before you buy it. It is worth the price because (1) there's nothing else out there, and (2) you can learn at lot if you perservere.
