Item description for Cave of the Inca Re (The Parker Twins Series, Book 1) by Jeanette Windle...

Overview
Images of Inca ruins fill the minds of thirteen-year-old twins Justin and Jenny Parker as they arrive in Bolivia, but the temple ruins of Tiawanaku hold more than history for the twins. As their new friend Pedro leads them through the history and legends of an ancient civilization, the three children stumble across the path of men who would do anything for treasure. An ancient labyrinth may hold that treasure--along with a curse that has destroyed every person who has disturbed its subterranean depths

Publishers Description
Traveling with their uncle to Bolivia sounded like a lot of fun to 13-year-old twins Jenny and Justin Parker. When they get tangled up with some smugglers, however, the twins' only escape may be the cursed Cave of Inca Re.

Reviews - What do customers think about Cave of the Inca Re (The Parker Twins Series, Book 1)?

Solid adventure, despite cheesey cover art.  May 9, 2005
All right, I admit it - I was a little put off by the kind of lame, self-published look to the cover art. Fortunately, I cracked open the book and liked what I saw. And so, this book became part of my ongoing quest to find cool and worthy books to read to my kids (girl-11 and boy-13) in the evenings.
Well, they loved it, and we are reading the next book in the series right now!
The story centers around the adventures of twins Justin and Jenny Parker as they travel with their uncle to Bolivia. An interesting setting (the author spent much of her life in South America and it shows in her descriptions, artifact smugglers, ancient temple ruins and a deadly curse add just the right amount of excitement. The kids' faith is woven into the story, but doesn't hijack the plotline, or become preachy.
Good stuff!
Ms. Windle has written quite a few in this series, as well as some adventure novels for adults.
Be sure to check them out!
