Item description for Who Would Know? by Jean T. Nietubicz...

Overview
Sixteen-year-old Rosalie Bennett, a high school Junior, learns her illness is a case of pregnancy. Jack Weaver, her boyfriend, becomes hostile and demands that Rosie get rid of her problem. Her parents feel the same way! But Rosie feels differently, yet she can't explain why. Through trickery or fate, the world accidentally discovers Rosie's secret. Jack denies being the father, and because he is popular, he is believed. Ugly rumors circulate, and issues arise, causing Rosie to be ostracized and threatened. Her life is changed drastically! However, a few people stand-by her. Thelma Feldman, her neighbor, finds hope in the situation and helps Rosie during her challenging time. Aisha Summers, a classmate, doesn't like the way people are treating Rosie, and Brad Underwood, Rosie's boss at the cinema, would like to become a closer friend. Rosie learns that no matter which decision she makes, her life will never be the same, she will live with this choice forever. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Pope John Paul II speaks and writes about "the new evangelization", he does so with a sense of urgency. He is uniquely aware of the problems that face the world in the 21st century. Many of these problems stem from a lack of understanding about "life issues", especially abortion, which is the definitive moral issue of our time. Jean Nietubicz has addressed the issue ( for many young people it is still a "question") of abortion through her novel "WhoWould Know?" As never before, the novel is becoming one of the greatest instruments of the new evangelization. Although most teenagers spend hours in front of the TV each day, many of them love to read in order to find relief from and answers to the problems that confront them each day. "WhoWould Know?" goes directly to the heart, more so than any sermon or classroom lecture could possibly do. The dialogues are real, the pace is just right and the lessons obvious. There should be at least one copy in every high school. Those of us who are engaged in young adult education owe a great debt to Jean Nietubicz. She has helped us proclaim the new evangelization in a way that young people can understand. It is the lesson of the heart. Father Joseph M. Doyle, SSJ President, St. Augustine High School New Orleans, LA

Reviews - What do customers think about Who Would Know??

WOW, it was better then I ever expected!!!  Oct 5, 2007
I had the pleasure of meeting the author, Jean. What an amazing woman!!! Not to mention that her husband and family are amazing as well. She is a very motivating/moving person. They are great people and help the community in so many ways. I am grateful to have met them. It is nice to know there are such good people in this world.

I knew this book would be great after speaking with her - WOW, it was BETTER THEN I EXPECTED!!! :)

This is a very emotional book. I cried & laughed so many times. You feel so connected to the characters.

I plan on buying it for my nieces and telling as many people I can about it. I think it is a great book for every teenager. Please buy it for any you know! I think it will be a great boook for them. Adults can enjoy it as well, I know I did.

It has a great message and is put in a way that makes a great story. I absolutely love it!!! I read the book in 1 day, I just had to keep picking it up when I had a free moment so that I could find out more.

Only disappointment was that it ended :)

Wonderful  Jun 6, 2006
Mrs. Nietubicz did a wonderful job writing this book. I bought it because she had come to speak to the students I teach at my school, and having heard the three talks she prepared for the three grades I teached, I was interested in reading the book. It's one of the best things I have read in a long time. I think all kids should have to read it, especially those in high school, boys and girls. I highly recommend this book.

Who Would Know? is Right  Mar 7, 2006
My mom was given this book and then gave it to me. That night I picked it and did not stop reading till I had finished the book about 4 and a half hours later.

This book has a great message and I think that all teenage girl (and un-wed mothers) should read it.

My favorite part is when Rosie's ex-boyfriend asks her "Who Would Know if you had an aboration?" Her answer "I WOULD KNOW and I could not live with that".

I think that for a beginning author Ms. Nietubicz sure got it right with this book.

You need to get this book.

Great book  Aug 26, 2005
Great story! I had a hard time putting it down. The pro-life message was so beautifully incorporated in to the story. I wish that eveyone could read this.
