This book is definitivly too coincise for my taste. Dont't try to use it for self-study, It's a waste of time. I suppose that the previous book by the same author is better suited for a plain reading. Anyway, you can find (spread out the book) many clever triks and suggestions hardly written elsewere.

simply the best book out there. recommend starting with "a course on damage mechanics" for a better introduction.
