More About R. A. Montgomery & Jason Millet
Raymond A. Montgomery is the founder of the Choose Your Own Adventure interactive children's book series. Montgomery synthesized all of his varied educational and game theory work in the Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) series, first published by Bantam Books in 1979. The series grew into a publishing phenomenon with over 180 titles and 250 million copies published worldwide in over 35 languages. The books were unique in that they appealed equally to girls and boys, to reluctant readers and avid ones. The CYOA series has been used in classrooms from early elementary school to college. At the advent of the Internet age, the series was used frequently in curricula focused on explaining the interactivity of the World Wide Web to young children. After a successful stint in the mid-to-late-90's designing games for CD-ROM, Montgomery decided to re-launch the CYOA series based on the interest he was getting from former fans. Montgomery and partners Shannon Gilligan and Gordon Troy, Esq. have turned their full attentions to Choose Your Own Adventure since Fall 2004. The series is being reissued through Chooseco LLC, in Waitsfield, Vermont. R.A. MONTGOMERY is an avid outdoorsman. He has hiked in the Himalayas, climbed mountains in Europe, scuba-dived in Central America, and sailed in Franco-phone Africa .He has lived in France, travels frequently to Asia, and calls Vermont home. His interests include macroeconomics, geo-politics, mythology, history, mystery novels, and music. He has two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters.

Reviews - What do customers think about Prisoner of the Ant People (Choose Your Own Adventure, No. 10)?
Prisoner of the Ant People Jun 11, 2008
The first time I read this book I was twelve and Ronald Regan was president. Since that time I have probably read this book more than 100 times. In the 90's all of my college roommates read the book and today it brings me great pleasure to read along with my six year old. This is one of those rare books that you can pick up every 10 years and it still brings the same level of enjoyment as the first time you read it. This is one of the best in the series and not to be missed!

In most of the Choose Your Own Adventure books you can base your decisions somewhat on logic. In this one, everything is backwards. In fact, you are usually better off ignoring the practical advice of your fellow members of the Zondo Quest Team. In a book that involves getting shrunken and encountering giant ants in an attempt to stop the Evil Power Master from destroying the universe, reason seems to falter. You can defeat the old arch-nemesis of the Zondo Quest team, but most likely you will at first get stuck in some colorful death scene or even start an aphid rebellion against ruthless ant taskmasters. If you want a Choose Your Own Adventure with sheer random fun, this is it. Anything can happen.
