Writers Notes 2005 Book Award Winner Apr 28, 2005
Colors, animals, and nature are tireless subject matter for children's picture books. What separates most are a gentle pacing of the prose and a knack for capturing a child's attention. Koski & Mason provide both in Color, Color, Where are You, Color? With each illu-stration comes a paragraph of rhyming text. The inside jacket holds a color index, so curious children can search the pages for their favorite occurrence of purple, brown, gold, etc.
A wonderful, appealing visual treat Apr 11, 2005
How does nature provide us with examples of all the colors of the rainbow in plants and animal life? Janeen Mason's gorgeous, brilliant art drawings pairs with Koski's rollicking rhymes to create the perfect rhythm and color exploration, packing each color page with examples of reds, yellows, blues, blacks and more, all from nature. A wonderful, appealing visual treat makes Color, Color, Where Are You recommended far and above any competing beginner's surveys of color in nature.
