Item description for Stringing Style: 50+ Fresh Bead Designs for Jewelry by Jamie Hogsett...
Beadwork magazine's special issues were mined for this collection of more than 50 elegant and trendy designs from past years along with the debut of ten new projects, all from the Beadwork design team. The book begins with a technique tutorial—Stringing 101—that introduces the stringing tricks of the trade used to create these pieces; lessons extend to even more methods, such as crimping and adding jump rings and clasps, with some insider design tips. Photographs, illustrations, and instructions walk beaders of all levels through designs like the Water Nymph Bracelet, Superstar Lariat, and Purple Power Cuff. Reviewing the elements and focusing on design, this diverse workbook allows beaders to simply follow the instructions or go where the imagination leads.

Reviews - What do customers think about Stringing Style: 50+ Fresh Bead Designs for Jewelry?
Love This Book!!! Jun 30, 2008
This of one of my few favorite beading books. It has very beautiful designs and excellent craftmanship of the projects. There are so many amazing clasps on each piece (I have a sweet spot for clasps) which really make each piece look so special and refined.
Anyway, very beautiful to look at. If, however you are a beader who needs to see pictures of the little step by step instructions that many books provide, this one does not. It gives clear instruction in text form. But no little diagrams. Otherwise, its a fantastic source for inspiration!
Elegant, fun, mostly easy designs May 9, 2008
This, and the follow up book "Stringing Style 2" have some of the most elegant, exciting designs I have seen in beading "how to" books. Good instructions assume you know a little about beading (but not too much, coz I'm faking my way through). Well worth the money.
Fantastic Sep 18, 2007
Love this book - it has some great designs that are easy for a beginner like myself to excecute. Would highly recommend it to anyone starting out.
Great book for Beaders May 10, 2007
This is a very good books for any level of beaders, you can find the designs you like, then follow it, make it, you'll love it.
Buy the magazines instead Apr 24, 2007
If you already have the Stringing Style magazines or can get them don't waste your money on this book. The few new projects are not worth the money. Also these are definitely not the best or most original of the jewelry included in the magazines. I'm sorry I bought this book.
