Reviews - What do customers think about The Clear Word, Pocket Edition?
EASY TO READ May 9, 2008
tHIS BOOK IS SO COOL I WISH I HAD THIS YEARS AGO. i CAN FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT God is saying thru his son Jesus Christ better than ever AMEN!!!
Excellent Paraphrase . Apr 23, 2008
I currently have 27 bible translations and some of them are paraphrases. The Clear Word is one of the best. The Clear Word does for bible reading what the Amplified Bible does for serious bible study. It amplifies each verse in clear modern english.Every true bible student should have one.
Ckear Word Bible Jan 4, 2008
Excellent, easy to read & understand, just understand it is not equal to KJV, nor should it be.
Excellent! Nov 22, 2007
We bought this Bible for our seven year old and we love reading it to him. We thought that it would be great for him since almost all other versions are so hard for someone his age. We are finding that The Clear Word is really helping us understand God's word even better.
This is a great version to have as a devotional or for young children. For more in-depth Bible study, you would want to use other versions like the New King James Version or New American Standard.
Deliberately changes the meaning of God's Word! BEWARE!! Aug 15, 2007
Research carefully before you invest your money in this book. I wonder if the Seventh Day Adventist's are trying to trick people into reading their interpretation of the Bible.
There are literaly hundreds of deletions, additions and changes to God's word in this book. The gravity of deliberately changing the meaning of God's word cannot be overemphasized. Psalm 138 equates the sacredness of God's Word with His holy name: "Thou hast magnified Thy word according to all Thy name." Deuteronomy 4:2 says, "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it." Proverbs 30:5, 6 reiterates this point: "Every word of God is pure. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."
Since God's Word is pure and truth, any changes to His Word will ultimately change the truth of God into a lie, with disastrous consequences. Each addition is itself an admission to some part of the SDA teaching that lacks Bible support. Each deletion and change likewise admits to some part of their teachings which the Bible refutes. These changes are made to uphold E.G. White's (SDA's so-called prophet) nonbiblical views. However, by committing this, they place themselves above God Himself.
This is one the most deceptive Bibles of our times.
