Item description for Always Kiss Me Good Night: Instructions on Raising the Perfect Parent by 147 Kids Who Know by J. S. Salt...
Overview Gathers the responses of grade-school children when asked to write what they would tell their parents about how to raise them
Publishers Description In the best-selling tradition of "Kids Say the Darndest Things" and "Really Important Stuff My Kids Have Taught Me," this warm and funny book offers 147 truly wise parenting tips in the words and handwriting of kids who don't always know how to spell, but always know what they need. If kids came with an instruction manual, this would be it -- a clever and poignant collection of suggestions, observations and reminders to parents from the experts themselves (kids 6-12). Organized into three sections: (Love and Caring, Family and Friends, and Guidance and Independence), these one- or two-line requests will bring a smile to your face, a lump to your throat, and a renewed sense of confidence that you can give your kids the love and support they deserve.

Reviews - What do customers think about Always Kiss Me Good Night: Instructions on Raising the Perfect Parent by 147 Kids Who Know?
This Book is Great Positive Psychology! Feb 20, 2008
As a positive psychologist, I loved this book. This children speak from the heart and tell grown-ups what they need to know and need to remember. How quickly we can forget the 'truth' about kindness and listening and not getting angry over nothing! Yes, we 'must love our kids through good times and bad' if we are to bring up healthy children who will have the emotional capacities to raise more healthy children. Thank you J.S.Salt. I'm including a link to my new book, which also speaks from the heart of childhood. The Truth: I'm a Girl, I'm Smart and I Know Everything

Best Parenting Book We've Ever Found! Oct 28, 2003
These kids tell it like it is -- straight from the heart and right on target. You could not ask for better or more touching advice. And the fact that its in the kids' own handwriting gives it a very special warmth and appeal. My wife and I give out this book (a lot!) for baby showers. It's the perfect gift.

I read about 10 pages of this book and I knew I needed it. Any parent that can read this book from cover to cover without sheding a tear needs to be nominated for parent of the century. Tear some of these pages out and place them around the house so you can remember that your kids are just that... KIDS! They were not meant to run a household or cook dinner.. they are KIDS.. let them enjoy life.
Read this book.. I ordered two books.. one for me and one for my ex-wife.
