Highly recommended reading for any religious leader who knows their followers on a personal level Apr 11, 2009
Where people gather, drama forms, even in the house of the Lord. "Top 10 Ways to Defuse Your Congregational Time Bomb" is a guide for church leaders to become community mediators who help their congregation solve conflicts in the most peaceful and faith inspiring ways possible. If handled incorrectly, these bombs of drama will explode and lead to a dead church - which will kill the faith of its former members. "Top 10 Ways to Defuse Your Congregational Time Bomb" is highly recommended reading for any religious leader who knows their followers on a personal level.
A Church Leader's MUST Read Feb 12, 2009
I wish I'd had this book when I was in my first year of ministry (24 years ago). Tenny-Brittian's insight into typical church controversies, and the possible resolutions thereof, has been deliniated in a most insightful and practical manner. This book is a MUST read for anyone in church leadership. Folks who Pastor, sit on Boards, or have anything at all to do with the day-to-day workings of a church, should avail themselves of the expertise of this author. I will be making this book available to every board member of my church.
(I would recommend reading the final chapter "Remember Who You Are and Whose You Are," before beginning the read.)
