Overview A Perfect Match is about Veronica, a college student who gets pregnant through date rape during her sophomore year. She puts the baby up for adoption. After graduating, she gets married and has twins. While contemplating a search for the daughter she gave away, a medical crisis occurs that threatens the life of one of her twins. Is she being punished for giving a child away? She willingly gave away one child; will death claim another one? Will she be reunited with her first-born? Meanwhile, a childless couple adopts Veronica's baby, Netanya. Shortly after the adoption, the wife gets pregnant and has a son. After not finding an answer to a complication that the family faces, Netanya sets out on a mission, one she believes is ordered by God. This is a very heart-rending story about the joys and sorrows of family life. Will the characters rely on their faith when it matters the most?

Veronica Wilson, a first year college student and devout Christian, is date raped by a young man she met at a Valentine's Day dance. Horrified, she tells no one and to her dismay, she finds out she is pregnant. Abortion is out of the question so Veronica has the baby and gives the little girl up for adoption. After she graduates from college, she marries a preacher and they have a set of twins, however the child she gave away is never far from her mind.
Veronica's twins, Brandon and Brittany are wonderful children and then tragedy strikes. Brittany's kidneys begin to fail and she needs a kidney transplant. Naturally, her twin is tested first but he is no match. What will the family do? Veronica immediately thinks of her other child but she does not know where she is. The family prays and is sure that a solution will present itself. Meanwhile, Brittany is in a critical way as she waits for a donor. Will they find a kidney in time to save her life?
A PERFECT MATCH by Irma Clark is a Christian novel that shows what faith can do. I found it to be a bit preachy and a lot of time was spent quoting scriptures rather than pushing the novel forward. In addition, the characters were just a bit too good to be true: husbands and wives never fought - even in the face of all the stress, Brittany and Brandon didn't disagree but were best of friends, parents were always wonderful and supporting. While I understand the message that was being sent, real people are not that good. A bit more tension and regular acting people would have stepped up the action considerably.

A Perfect Book Nov 3, 2005
I enjoyed this storyline from start to finish. The author told a story filled with emotions and human behaviors. It was beautifully written from a Christian perspective but with a modern day edge. I loved the way that the story followed the characters through a series of events and years. I recommend this story to anyone looking for a good easy reading book.
I'm looking forward to the next novel from this talented writer. There has to be a sequel coming...

A must read for all that enjoy spiritual reading. Jul 2, 2005
A perfect match is a wonderful novel that illustrates what can happen to unsuspecting victims. It also lets you know that god in in control and can handle any problem we experience, no matter how longer or small. I look forward to reading more novels by Irma Clark.
A GOOD READ Mar 27, 2005
This book definetely deserves five stars. It is a good book. Many people can "talk the talk" but cannot "walk the walk." It's easy to fall apart when life's difficulties come, but the characters in this book demonstrate that relying on God is the best way to face life's problems. I would love to see a sequel to this book.
